What is creative wellness? 

Creative wellness is about exploring creative activities that promote well-being. It can encompass various forms of artistic expression, I mainly work with visual arts, the imagination, music, writing and connecting with nature. It has been proven that engaging in creative pursuits has numerous benefits for mental, emotional and physical health. It provides a means of expressing, off-loading and communicating thoughts, ideas and emotions, and can become a strategy that one can easily refer back to and use independently, time and time again. 

Creative wellness activities will promote:

  • Relaxation and mindfulness

  • Stress reduction

  • Improved Mental health

  • Enhanced Problem-Solving Skills

  • Increased resilience

  • Improved Communication skills

  • Increased emotional intelligence

  • Life satisfaction

 

Creativity is a highly individual experience, you don’t need to have specific creative skills to be creative, and different forms of creativity may resonate differently with each person. The key is to find activities that genuinely inspire and bring you joy. 

As a bonus, creativity encourages both the right and left side of the brain to connect and naturally promotes curiosity, productivity, problem-solving, motivation and adaptability. 

Creative Wellness Workshops
